Araquot, based in Northern New Jersey, is a private investment firm focused on acquiring lower middle-market businesses.

Our professionals bring over 80 years combined experience managing, advising, and investing in small and medium sized businesses spanning diverse industries, from manufacturing to professional services. Additionally, our team brings deep knowledge from all levels of strategy and operations, accounting, marketing, legal, and consulting expertise. We concentrate on smaller middle-market companies, typically with annual revenue of $1 million to $20 million and an annual cash flow in the range of $0.3 million to $3 million. Our team has particular experience and interest in the industry sectors of niche manufacturing, direct marketing, consumer / retail, value-added distribution, business services, and traditional media.

The strategic focus of Araquot is the acquisition of businesses whose senior executives or owner-operators are engaged in succession planning. These entrepreneurs seek to establish a transition path out of day-to-day operations, yet still desire to engage in some manner of influence through a minority interest, board membership, or in an advisory capacity. We will provide the liquidity to existing shareholders, as well as executive management, to affect a smooth transition.
